After, literally, a day of standing on pins and needles by the desktop, mostly making smalltalk with Claudette about her life goals, in anticipation and suspense of a response from the editors of McSweeney's that would put Common Good Books in a certain class of bookstore reserved for the likes of Third Place Books, in Washington and Porter Square Shopping Center, I received this e-mail:
