You might have a better idea of why this would be than I would, but I'm a little surprised that neither Enger brother was nominated for an award. I feel kind of bad for Lin Enger, whose book was overshadowed by Edgar Sawtelle. Does the award typically go to a well-known author or is it usually someone a bit more obscure?
Just curious. Glad to see you're blogging. Keep it up!
I completely missed that the Enger brothers were shut out. The MBA tend to be a little eccentric, which on balance is a good thing. Still, all the books with MPR/PMI connections--Leif Enger, Cathy Wurzer's Highway 61 book, The Splendid Table's How to Eat Supper--are out of the running.
